Miks on kahefaasiline näopuhastus naha parim sõber?

Why is a two-phase facial cleansing the skin's best friend?

If you've ever felt like your skin is still... dull despite all the moisturizers you've been using? Or if you get a pimple every now and then, even though you're "doing nothing wrong"? Then there's a good chance the problem isn't the moisturizer - it's your cleansing routine .

There's a lot of talk about double cleansing these days - and it's not just another TikTok trend. It's an effective, simple, and skin-friendly way to take care of your face.

So what is this “biphasic” thing?

This is a two-part cleansing method that originated in the Korean beauty world and is especially appreciated among those with sensitive, dry, combination, or clog-prone skin .

It consists of two simple steps:
1. oil-based cleaning
2. water-based cleaning

Step One: Oil-Based Cleanser

(but I already have dry skin, why would I use oil?)

That's why! An oil-based cleanser (like Beauty of Joseon Radiance Cleansing Balm ) doesn't dry out your skin, but dissolves oil-based dirt , such as: SPF creams, makeup, sebum and skin's own lipids, city air and pollution.

Think of it as “Mother Nature” – oil dissolves oil . For example, if you wash off your makeup with just a regular water-based cleanser, a lot of the SPF or foundation will actually remain on your skin. The result can be clogged pores, redness, inflammation, and a dull complexion .

Conditioners and oils don't have to be greasy or heavy - good cleansing oils have a light texture, emulsify with water , and rinse off nicely.

Step Two: Water-Based Cleaning

(this is where soft but effective foam comes into play)

After an oil-based cleanser, a water-based product, such as Round Lab Dokdo Cleansing Foam, comes to the rescue. Its task is to:

remove any remaining dirt from the skin

cleanse from the depths of the pores

balance the skin's pH

prepare the skin for subsequent products (toner, essence, serum, etc.)

This step helps prevent any cleansing oil from “sitting” on the skin and ensures that your skin feels completely clean but not dry .

So what happens if you do a two-phase cleanse regularly?

Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't make your skin drier — quite the opposite!
Two-phase cleansing helps:

✅ prevent blockages and inflammation
✅ strengthen the skin's own protective barrier
✅ increase the absorption of serums and creams
✅ reduce texture problems and dullness
✅ keep skin soft, clean and clear

To summarize:

Bi-phase cleansing is not just a trend – it is a logical, conscious and effective cleansing technique for the skin, which creates the ideal foundation for all skin care.
